A tear in the eye: Kaspersky says goodbye!

Kaspersky, which closed its office in the US last month, continues to melt down. The company has now closed another office.

Kaspersky, one of the world's leading cybersecurity companies, has now decided to close its UK office after ceasing its operations in the US. The company will lay off dozens of employees following this decision. Kaspersky announced that it has decided to reshape its business model in the UK and said that it will focus more on its current business partners.

Bad days continue for Kaspersky

In a statement made by the company, it was stated that there were less than 50 employees in the London office, and that operations would be stopped 'in stages'. In June 2024, Kaspersky suffered a major blow after product sales in the US were banned.

The company was banned by the US government on the grounds that it had ties to the Russian government, but Kaspersky has consistently denied these allegations. The company emphasizes that it is completely independent and claims that it is not under any external influence.

Kaspersky has announced that it will continue to operate through partners despite closing its offices in the UK. The company’s spokesman Francesco Tius said that this decision will allow it to more efficiently evaluate business opportunities in the UK market.

“Our customers and partners will continue to have access to Kaspersky’s strong team in Europe and extensive partner network. We will continue to distribute Kaspersky’s industry-leading cybersecurity products and services through this network,” Tius said.

Although the company has announced that it will continue to exist, it seems to be entering the beginning of the end, both in terms of reputation and economy.
