Inspired by Apple? Updated interface for Android Auto!

Google has released a Siri-like Google Assistant update for Android Auto, designed for vehicles...

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support are offered in almost all vehicles introduced and sold today. Although most people are CarPlay fans, the number of people using Android Auto is also quite high. A new update has been released by Google for Android Auto, which can be activated even with aftermarket devices. It seems that Google was inspired by Apple. Here are the Android Auto assistant details...

Android Auto voice assistant has changed with Google Assistant update

Google has finally included the Siri-like assistant in its car-integrated application Android Auto with the update it released today. The new assistant, which we can make voice conversations with and works just like the Assistant application on phones, works like Siri in Apple CarPlay. In fact, it seems that Google has taken Siri's design exactly.

When you run Android Auto and run an application like Maps, you will see an Assistant button with a round design at the bottom of the screen. You can activate the Assistant from here and ask the questions you want to ask. For example, you can ask for directions, ask how far you are, and more.

The assistant, which was previously available and used, has features such as AI-supported message summarization, message reading, and replying. However, with the new update, the Android Auto assistant, whose interface has changed, seems to have switched to the same Siri design.

It is not yet clear which devices the update has come to, but it can be used in the Android Auto v12.5 version found in the Z Fold 6. If you want to use the assistant, you can click on the application icons from the buttons on the steering wheel after saying “Ok Google” in your vehicle where Android Auto is active, and then click on the microphone icon.
