What will the iPhone 17 Slim offer to users?

The iPhone 17 Slim (Air), as its name suggests, will be a smartphone that stands out with its thinness. For this reason, the company needs to make changes to its current display technologies in order to push the boundaries in terms of thinness.

DigiTimes, known for its leaks in the industry, claimed that a recent announcement by the Taiwanese display manufacturer Novatek caught Apple's attention. This technology, called TDDI OLED, combines the screen touch sensor layer with the screen driver in a single unit, allowing the production of smartphones that stand out with their thinness.

It is said that Apple may be one of Novatek's first customers for TDDI OLED technology and may use it in the iPhone 17 Slim model to be introduced next year.

The device is expected to come with a 6.6-inch screen with 120Hz ProMotion support. The model, which will use the Apple A19 chipset produced in the 3nm fabrication process, is said to be the most expensive version of the series with a starting price of $1,299. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models will be offered for sale with starting prices of $1,099 and $1,199, respectively.
