Mercedes integrates Sony`s cinema service into the car!

Mercedes has launched the in-car cinema era with the RIDEVU application, a Sony Pictures Entertainment service.

Mercedes is bringing a new service that will offer its users the pleasure of cinema in the car. As a result of the collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, it will offer a cinema experience in the car with the RIDEVU service. RIDEVU is offered to users with MBUX Entertainment Package Plus subscription in Mercedes' premium vehicles and can be used on six screens simultaneously.

Mercedes users will now be able to create a RIDEVU account through the application integrated into their vehicles and access a wide range of films. The films are constantly updated, so there is no question of missing out on newly released productions. Moreover, they will not only be able to watch them, but also rent or buy them.

RIDEVU is not limited to just watching films. The large screens, which offer HD quality video in particular, offer very good image quality for both front and rear passengers. In addition, the system, which is supported by the Burmester surround 4D and 3D sound systems, which are high-end sound systems, can be said to give the feeling of a movie theater.

Currently actively used in Germany, the United Kingdom and Ireland, RIDEVU works in Mercedes vehicles with the second-generation MBUX system. Mercedes Software Chief Magnus Östberg states that RIDEVU takes in-car entertainment one step further.
